Afterthoughts

A calendar image for a local printer we used frequently. Live model shot in the studio - by me apparently. I've asked both photographers I was using at the time. Background was created with a weird filter I was never able to re-create. Floatation device is a condom. OCTOBER was AIDS awareness month.
A local high-end printer wanted an image to introduce their brand new waterless printing press. If you're local, you'll recognize the logo as Ventura Printing. Not sure that I wrote this, or our copywriter. They did some real wonderful work for us.

This image was included in a capabilities brochure for a film lab and high-end multi-substrate printing company that specialized in corporate display graphics. The concept was based on ACCURACY, BALANCE and PRECISION. Starting with the elements falling in disarray, ending with a construct of those elements in harmony. Note of interest, this brochure was printed in a very cutting edge technique called Hex Color. A short-lived dream of adding ORANGE and GREEN to the 4-color process. It never caught on, but this brochure was AMAZING because I played up the strengths of adding those two additional colors to the printing process. Element photos by Z-Studios

Had to add this one. I started screwing around with 3D programs toward the end of my business. This was for a contractor - I think - that wanted an image that suggested a completed permit process and eminent completion of the project. Elements included wood, concrete and steel. This was a very cool program, but -for the life of me - can't remember what it was.
Had a friend and business associate that put together high-end solutions to all things computer for a vast array of clients. He needed an image that projected infinite capabilities and vision.

A small sampling of logos I designed over the years, but these are some of my favorites.

These are - again - a small sampling of ads I designed and art directed over the years. Sadly, the high-resolution versions of these are long gone. Tried to show a varied selection of looks and industries. And, that's IT for the trip down memory lane.
